Fatboy Slim Tears Up The Cliffs

Fatboy Slim A.K.A Norman Cook tore up Southends Cliffs Pavillion on Friday night (2nd December 2011) and Koothoomi Records were there to watch the master at work on the vinyl.

The night began with a shed load of Jagerbombs and with exciting new talent in the shape of Jackbeats and Doorly, the night got off to a flyer.

With Southend seafront getting lashed by rain and wind outside, the punters were very much on the lash inside with the bar 3 deep at anyone time, just adding to the anticipation of the Fatboy. Needless to say he didnt disapoint, and it will be a night to remember (just about!).

Norman said: "It’s been a classic year so far with raves on the Great Wall of China, beach parties in Tokyo and now festive fun in the Mecca’s and ballrooms of the UK".

New Prodigy Songs To Be Played At Download

Fans of the Prodigy can expect to hear some new tracks from the band during their Download Festival headline set next year....

Frontman Liam Howlett's revealed the band are back in the studio working on the follow-up to their 2009 album Invaders Must Die.

Speaking to Kerrang he said fans can expect something big from their performance.

"We are definitely going to bring the party and make sure it rocks. It's the only festival appearance we are doing in 2012, so we're going to make sure it's really special. We're also going to be dropping some of the new stuff that we have been doing in the studio. It's going to be ****ing ferocious."

Tickets to Download 2012 - are on sale now where Metallica and Black Sabbath will also headline.

Coldplay have announced dates and locations of a series of stadium shows for the Summer of 2012. Having released their fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto last month, Chris Martin and the band will play the following outdoor stadium dates:

Michael Jackson Bed Up For Auction

Michel Jackson's bed where he died two years ago has been put up for auction, it was announced today.

The queen-sized bed is among many items that are being sold from the Holmby Hills, California, mansion where the King of Pop died two years ago.

The event will take place in December 2011 and is being held by Julien's Auctions who will also sell off lots of the late star's personal items.

How much will this fetch?? Who knows but it will be thousands...

Benicassim 2012 Headliner Announced

The Stone Roses have been announced as next years headliners for Benicassim Festival 2012.

This could be one of the comeback gigs of the last few years along with their gigs in Manchester, they are also headlining T in Park next year in Scotland. Looks like 2012 is shaping up to be a good year already for music festivals and we still have a month of 2011 left for more headline acts to be announced for next years festivals.

Oasis Records

With the death of Oasis in August 2009, Noel and Liam Gallagher have now gone on to form their seperate bands; Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Beady Eye respectively. Beady Eye have played Isle of Wight Festival and other gis this year and released a debut album and singles including Millionaire, while Noel has an upcoming tour and the release of his debut solo album by the same name as the band.

While all of this is great, we cant forget about Oasis and the impact they had on the music/indie scene, as for many, including myself they were the soundtrack to the 90's / early 00's. To celebrate this Koothoomi Records have lots of Oasis vinyl records for sale including Some Might Say 7 inch, D'ya Know What I Mean 7 inch and many more.
